Could Elderberry help fight coronavirus? New Studies Emerge.

The Best Elderberry Syrup

Great news for the natural community! Many loyal elderberry users attribute their health success this season to elderberry, but now it's time to look at the science behind it. Researchers around the world have called for more research to be done looking into the benefits of natural remedies on the coronavirus. This is a big step in the medical world.

In a recent article published by the journal Frontiers in Pharmacology, natural products are now being discussed as potential treatment for COVID-19. Historically, natural products such as elderberry have been used for the prevention of viral infections and have show favorable effectiveness according to research. With more and more science backing these remedies, clinical studies are now being approved to look deeper into their fight against the coronavirus. This is huge!

Elderberry syrup is one of the natural remedies that is now starting to be taken more seriously by scientists - and for good reason.

East Kent hospital has been approved, and started, a clinical trial looking at black elderberry liquid and the coronavirus due to its positive effects on the flu virus. One of the primary reasons for the study is the strong evidence supporting the anti-viral benefits of Elderberry.  Elderberry has been shown to not only improve your immune system but it also attacks viruses and can prevent viral cells from multiplying.

Jessica Evans, Director of Research and Innovation for East Kent Hospital, noted that "previous studies with the flu showed people who took elderberry had significant improvements in their symptoms within 2 days, compared to six days for those who did not. Kent is testing whether there are similar effects in people who tested positive for covid-19 and are experiencing symptoms."  You can follow the progress of this clinical study here. We will keep you up to date as well - and can't wait to see the results!

Kent University is not the only place that has looked into elderberry more seriously. The US National Library of Medicine National Institute of Health is now recommending elderberry as one of their 7 recommendations for early covid-19 intervention. More information can be found on this research located at bullet point 6.3. It is no wonder that elderberry is often referred to as "nature's cure."

More and more science is emerging proving the great benefits of elderberry. Although many experience the positive effects from taking it themselves,  we thought we would share the emerging clinical trials and scientific proof of the benefits of elderberry.

Stay Boosted,

Where to buy Elderberry Syrup

Not all elderberry syrup is created equal. In fact, many store bought elderberry products contain a high amount of added sugars and thickeners, which actually helps feed bacteria's and viruses. To maximize the numerous health benefits of elderberry, it is highly beneficial to find a product that does not contain added sugars or preservatives.

Elderberry Boost is an all natural product that only contains high quality organic ingredients. No sugars or artificial ingredients!

*Although elderberry has been shown to have multiple benefits, we recommend speaking with your doctor about your personal needs. Use herbs in moderation and watch for allergic reactions. If you are taking any other medication, are suffering from a medical condition, and/or are at all concerned about any of the advice or ingredients, consult your doctor before taking.
